Finally on my winterbreak- I decided to do some personal projects, and actually upload something here, which i haven't done in months! Anyway, i decided to do some movie posters, since i need more graphic design things for my portfolio. So, this is the first in a series of Star Wars posters, heavily inspired by the work of the great Saul Bass, a graphic designer from the 60's. Obviously, the movie depicted is The Empire Strikes Back, the second Star Wars movie from 1980
Others in the series: [link] - A New Hope [link] - Return of the Jedi
This is perfect. The vision is clear. A vector image of stormtroopers, Jedi masters and Darth Vader's face. It's clearly a portrayal of action scenes, in a vectorized collage. The color scheme is clear and funky, whilst the background still sets a poster feel. I can imagine these up in my local library or at a star wars convention perhaps.
It's very original. I've never seen a poster like this before, or portrayed in such a way. The technique is stellar, with the text and such clearly visible and the text is funky and suits the vector theme.
However, I feel that the two green bolts in the bottom left corner should be perhaps changed color or changed as they sort of stick out against the reds. Also, the Darth Vader one top left should be switched round as to some viewers, it isn't obvious what at first it is.

Other than those two points - brilliant!
